Cladding of prefabricated industrial and commercial buildings is often carried out using prefabricated concrete panels. In Italy, it is traditional to design prefabricated structures by neglecting the interaction between the structure and the cladding panels. These elements, connected to the columns or beams, are considered only as hanging masses that contribute to the dynamic response of the structure but do not influence the stiffness to lateral displacements of the building.
