The first part of this article discussed the available SCC mix design and the systematic procedure for SCC. This part discusses the experimental work adopted based on the systematic procedure for SCC. As a part of SCC mix design, optimization of superplasticiser (SP) and viscosity modifying agent (VMA) for a given water/cementitious (w/cm) ratio was done in self compacting mortar (SCM) tests using mini slump cone along with the graduated glass plate. The intention of this study was to develop a cost-effective medium strength of SCC suitable for normal building construction.
