The textile company The Chennai Silks (TCS), which is based in the South Indian city of Coimbatore, has been producing and selling textiles and articles of clothing with great success for around 50 years. What began in the 1960s with a weaving mill and the sale of the goods in Tirupur and Madurai has developed into an internationally operative family-run company with 18,000 employees, a dense network of branches in India and the production of articles of clothing for renowned clothing companies worldwide.
