The spotlight is set to shine on the Middle East’s concrete industry with the launch of the region’s first large-scale dedicated event for the sector. Middle East Concrete (MEC) is due to open its doors for the first time on 21-24 November 2011 at Dubai International Exhibition & Con vention Centre (DIECC). Co-located alongside The Big 5 2011, the region’s largest construction event, MEC is set to bring together the biggest names in the con crete sector, with manufacturers, suppliers and end-users from worldwide committing to the event. Around 120 exhibitors will participate in MEC 2011, showcasing products and services that are specific to the industry. And testament to the region’s importance in the global construction market, more than half of the firms due to exhibit are internationally based outside the Middle East, with Eirich, Elematic and Schnell among those already confirmed.
