The effect of nano-silica on mechanical properties of concrete has been investigated. For this purpose different percentages of nano-SiO2 as replacement of cement have been added to concrete mixes. In the study, six concrete mixtures MS0 to MS5 with super plasticizer were prepared with varying percentages of nano-silica from 0.5 to 1.5 at the interval of 0.25. Mechanical properties have been investigated through the compressive strength, split tensile strength, ultra-sonic pulse velocity (UPV) and their correlation has been reported. Results showed that nano particles can effectively improve mechanical properties of concrete.
