The production of concrete products on block moulding machines uses a highly dynamic process that is characterised by a complex interplay between concrete mix and machine. The development of the mix designs for core and face concrete as well as their detailed coordination with each other in one product already represent a major challenge. Daily routine operation includes constant fine tuning to ensure flawless production. Operating the block moulding machine is a demanding task, and mastering the many possible daily challenges requires several years of practical experience. Skilful coordination between material properties and machine parameters results in consistently high product quality.
