The properties of the substrate surface are extremely important for concrete repair projects and for the construction of bonded concrete overlays. Various Norms and Standards, including DIN EN 1766, EN 13473-1 TR – Repair, DAfStb-Richtlinie (recommendations of the German Committee for Structural Concrete) and ZTV-ING therefore require the characterisation of the substrate surface roughness.
