The demand for various shapes and sophisticated surface designs – such as stone surfaces with a natural look – is constantly growing. In close co-operation, Angermüller Bau GmbH, FC Sonderkonstruktion GmbH and the IAB – Institut für Angewandte Bauforschung Weimar gGmbH – have developed a special process for the artificial ageing of concrete blocks. The new ageing process differs from previous processes in that it is purposefully and exclusively the edges of the stones that are treated. The stone surface is not damaged. The stones are refined in the form of the laying packet. Manual work such as subsequent sorting is not necessary.
