During bauma, it was officially announced: the Kingdom Tower in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, will be constructed with equipment from Schwing. The new Schwing SP 8800 Container stationary pump – presented at this year’s bauma – will be employed, amongst other things, in this prestigious project and will convey concrete to heights that have never been reached before. Up to a total of five other stationary concrete pumps and four separate placing booms from Schwing will be in use on the construction site there. Once completed, the Kingdom Tower will be the first building in the world boasting more than one kilometre in height.
