Precast walls perform many functions in modern buildings with precast concrete elements. These range from rapid construction progress and thermal insulation to structural security. This becomes particularly clear during the construction sequence, because during the building phase, the precast element must withstand the fresh concrete pressure during concreting and, in the final state, permanent wind and earth pressure, temperature strains as well as vertical loads. In order to be able to counteract these forces, hollow walls are connected to structural steel lattice girders.
