The building work for what is currently the largest dam project in South-East Asia, the dam in the province Son La in North-West Vietnam, began in July 2007. The state-owned ‘Song Da 5 J.S Company’ is investing around 3 billion US dollars in the Son-La dam, which will supply 2,400 MW of electricity when it has been completed. Liebherr mixing plants have already manufactured more than one million cu. metres of high quality concrete for this gigantic project in the first eight months since the start of construction.
