Working to prepare for and accommodate the “Europeanization” of the construction industry, in order to support and enhance the competitiveness of the precast concrete industry, is one of the key roles of CERIB, something into which the organisation has put a lot of effort in relation to standardization. CERIB’s legitimacy in this role is conferred by its status as an “Industrial Technical Centre”, a status that also ensures it has the resources to carry out this assignment which, by definition, is a collective undertaking.
