Prilhofer Consulting began designing a new type of plant for pallet circulation systems in 2006 independently of any specific customer demands. Technologies already in existence in other industrial sectors were adapted for the precast concrete component industry. The idea of continuous manufacturing in a pallet circulation system was registered as a patent and presented in an information event to the public concerned in Salzburg, Austria, during the summer of 2006. News of this was carried in the relevant industry publications. Continuous manufacturing technology with a moving belt has been successfully utilised for decades in the automobile industry, for example. In a precast production facility, this represented a large innovative step forwards.
