The recently approved Egcobox cantilever connector with axial thrust bearing (Type GDL) made from high-strength fibre concrete offers improved thermal insulation for cantilevered construction components. The Egcobox range – well-proven since 1997 – has now been enlarged by the new Type GDL. This cantilever connector approved by the DIBt on the basis of DIN 1045-1 is employed for decoupling projecting structures such as balconies, arcades, walls and parapets. The Frank Type GDL insulation system makes for rational installation particularly in precast component construction.
