One of the most important quality features in concrete block production is a uniform product height within batches of blocks. The precise measurement of product dimensions during the manufacturing process is therefore enormously important. The measuring instruments from R&W are positioned as close as possible behind the block making machine above the transport conveyor for the underlay boards. Using up to 6 lasers, the concrete blocks passing through under the device are scanned in a con- tactless manner, and their dimensions measured with an accuracy of +/- 0.5 mm. The measuring range of the block height is 20 mm to 190 mm for the SHV 200 system and 20 mm to 490 mm for the SHV500 system. Higher measuring ranges can be provided on request.
