F. C. Nüdling Betonelemente GmbH + Co. KG (FCN) manufactures an extraordinarily wide range of high-quality concrete products at six locations in Hesse and Thuringia, Germany. Its products are employed in designing the surfaces of public and commercial buildings and in creating gardens and terraces in the private sector. In addition to paving blocks in various design lines, its assortment also includes terrace slabs, various masonry block formats and high-quality creative elements. Each day, around 230 dedicated employees of this family-owned company work on further developing and refining its building materials – oriented towards customers needs. Expertise in concrete is an important pillar of FCN's success in business. But of course, there is also a need, in addition to expertise, for appropriate production facilities that ensure both excellent product quality and high output. The pool of machinery is maintained accordingly and individual production line components are replaced as necessary when the desired reliability and performance are no longer given. The pack- aging robot on the dry side was recently replaced with a new one at the Wandersleben production facility in order to assure packaging efficiency with the concrete block line. The project was entrusted to S.T.I. GmbH from Austria, which implemented it to FCN’s full satisfaction.
