The new road project on the Guaíba river in Puerto Alegre is one of the most important projects currently being carried out in Brazil by the consortium called “Ponte do Guaíba”, consisting of the companies Queiroz Galvao and EGT Engenharia. Although construction work has been delayed for several times since 2014, under the supervision of DNIT (National Department of Transportation Infrastructure), it is currently in progress and almost 88% of the construction work has been finished. According to the new work schedule, the inauguration is planned for the end of the first half-year period of 2020.
