Halfen’s universally implementable HEK precast couplers constitute a practical solution for a quick and economical installation of precast elements. Conventional precast couplers featuring flexible rope loops or on-site regent steel bars need to be embedded in mortar in the connecting joint and are hence not fully loadable right after installation. For subsequent building or installation processes, temporary supports are then required to ensure that erected precast elements have a firm stand. Waiting times for hardening the used mortar therefore negatively influence later construction steps.
