The “UHPC pre-pact dolerite” project was carried out subsequent to ICCS16 with the “Economical effect on UHPC by using coarse aggregates” project [1]. It investigated t he economic aspects of employing dolerite aggregates (particle size 8/16mm) as substitutes in a UHPC concrete matrix – thus generating crucial savings in concrete volume. In this project, comparisons were made between a UHPC with dolerite using the pre-pact procedure, an Ultra High Performance Fibre Reinforced Concrete (UHFRC) with a 2 Vol.-% proportion of fibres and a UHPC with dolerite using a traditional production method. The project investigated the technical feasibility, economic viability and sustainability of the pre-pact procedure and consequently the financial savings possible with it.
