Algeria: growth in construction and construction machinery

Africa's largest country drives modernisation forwards

Although oil prices are low, the World Bank is forecasting economic growth of 3.4 % for Algeria in 2016. The country is sticking to its plan to bring its infrastructure up to scratch. The main objectives are the development of road and railway networks, the supply of power and water and the building of homes. Many countries have already recognised Algeria's potential and have concluded trade agreements with the important suppliers of crude oil and natural gas or are in talks with Algerian decision-makers. The main countries supplying Algeria are China, France, Italy and Spain. Germany occupies 5th place. Cooperation negotiations are also already in progress with Iran.
