The industry standard for masonry, stone, and block designs were limited to rectangular sheets of formliners that were placed or butted to each other. Great efforts were made to minimize the seams at the edges to prevent concrete leakage or butt joints. In spite of these efforts, the seams still occur across the face of the concrete after stripping the formliner and required many additional hours of labor - sacking, patching, or grinding to hide these unsightly imperfections.
