Proven IT technologies are also used in plant manufacturing today. Adequate protection of the IT infrastructure in offices is a matter of course. IT components in the production environment are basically subject to the same threats, but awareness of this is not very pronounced. In addition, the protection mechanisms familiar from the office world cannot be adopted 1:1. This article provides an overview of the threats and shows how they can be countered.
