On 19 November 2015, The Concrete Initiative held its annual event, Concrete Dialogue 2015, entitled: Citizens at the heart of the sustain- ably-built environment. This event follows the two previous large events, namely the official launch on 27 May 2014 in Brussels and the net- working dinner in the European Parliament in Strasburg on 26 November 2014. This event brought together Members of the European Parliament, European Commission and civil society for a concrete dialogue roundtable to debate issues of relevance to sustainable construc- tion. Furthermore, a new study on the multiplier effect of investment in concrete by Le Bipe (member of the Euroconstruct network), as well as a study by the Joint Research Center of the European Commission (JRC) on design in a safe and sustainable way were presented, pro- viding new insights to further stimulate the discussion.
