Hubert Rapperstorfer is an Austrian who sets great store by efficient solutions and who likes to simplify things. These characteristics have served him very well during the last 16 months in developing his new product – a first in the world. On 1st and 2nd December at the Engineering Days in Vienna, he will be presenting together with his team his patented system, with which he can produce reinforcing steel cages fully automatically in lot-size 1. This can generate considerable savings on costs and time for producers. One prototype of the system is already successfully in operation for MABA, a precast component producer, manufacturing Korbwand® cage walls.
