Despite use as intended, the escape of release agent into the envi- ronment is not entirely avoidable with some release agent applica- tions. Release agents frequently escape into the environment in particular during concrete shuttering work in the construction of buildings and in underground construction. Therefore, increasing importance is being attached to aspects such as biological degrad- ability and the avoidance of ingredients that are harmful to health.
