Shortly after the Bauma 2003, a certain Timur Dmitrov contacted the publisher of CPI, Gerhard Klöckner, and asked again and again whether an edition of the trade magazine in Russian would be possible. He called the head office of ad-media incessantly and then one day there he was, personally, in the office in Cologne. He refused to leave until he had the promise of a ‘CPI Russia’ edition in his pocket. CPI Russia was initially published four times a year and the interest of the Russian readers was indeed just as it had been described by Timur Dmitrov, who in the meantime has become a long-standing representative and friend of CPI: there was continuous growth and it was only a logical consequence that in January 2005 the idea was hatched for a dedicated ICCX event in Russia, which was repeated for what is already the 10th time in December 2014 in St. Petersburg.
