In the course of the fast corporate growth of Tenwinkel GmbH & Co. KG in recent years, the product range already encompasses a large num- ber of ballasting solutions. In co-operation with the Institute of Materials in the Building Industry (IWB) at the University of Stuttgart, the con- crete composition has been further developed in order to manufacture new products such as machine beds, which place high demands on the concrete. With the new concrete composition, very high strengths are possible with a constant hardened concrete density of 4.0 kg/dm³ even without the use of so-called superpozzolans such as silica or metakaolin.
