The first part of the article was concerned in general with the definition of the various types of efflorescence. In detail the fundamental faultiness of efflorescence and the factors influencing the formation of primary and secondary efflorescence were dealt with. Particular emphasis was placed here on the expert evaluation of products with efflorescence. In the second part of the progress report the focus is placed on tertiary efflorescence and its expert evaluation as well as on the procedure to remove efflorescence.
