A new industrialized concrete light flooring system is shown in this article, which combines advantages from both prefabricated and nonprefabricated construction methods: it is easy to produce and it can be fabricated in current precast production centres, it is quick to assemble without needing special machinery, it has a uniform slab height, is much lighter and can solve irregular layouts. The iMat – Construction Technology Centre multidisciplinary expert’s team has designed this flooring system in collaboration with precast companies. At present, the patent application has been submitted; from now on, interested companies will be invited to adopt the project and put it on the market.
