At present, different precast elements made from concrete, such as stairs (straight flights and spi-ral), columns, girders, flat precast elements (sandwich and solid walls) and other structural precast elements are produced using stationary formworks. The greatest disadvantage of statio-nary formworks is their inflexibility in production and the limitations due to the sizes that can be transported. In order to counteract these disad-vantages, Christian Prilhofer Consulting has been giving some attention to the development and use of a flexible internal transport system for the pre-cast element plants which produce these pro-ducts. The design work took into consideration the prevailing needs of the European market.
