Pipes made from concrete and steel-reinforced concrete have been produced in large quantities for more than 100 years. The history of precast concrete pipes starts from when Portland cement was first produced on an industrial scale [1, 2]. As well as the cost effectiveness of concrete and the pipes for which Portland cement is used, their adaptability to the industrial requirements has been the main reason for their increased use. Today, the proportion of pipes made from concre-te and steel-reinforced concrete pipes in the public sewage systems is in the region of 45% [3].
