More than 400 visitors from across the world were welcomed to the event by Surendra Shah and his team in Chicago at the end of October. Mr Shah is Director of the Center for Advanced Cement-Based Materials and organiser of the event. The mixed range of attendees was considered to be positive, with participants not only coming from science and research, but also from industry and the trade.
