At the end of 2012, Sommer Anlagentechnik GmbH completed the installation of a 1,500 m²/day strong Pallet Circulation Plant in the Chinese town Suqian near Xuzhou (5.5 hours car drive from Shanghai). The privately financed project has been realized to serve the rapidly expanding housing market. Through a governmental bank loan, this 500 million RMB project could be realized. The need for automation and cost-effective solutions for the production of precast concrete elements has rapidly grown in the last decades in China. As a result hereof the need for cost effective erection of living space is bigger than ever since. From signing of the contract up to putting into operation of the plant, the German company Sommer Anlagentechnik GmbH, has cooperated with its partners SAA Engineering, EVG and Nemetschek Engineering from Austria in order meet this demand and prepared a successful bid. With this new pallet circulation plant, the owner “Jiangsu Yuanda Architecture Science and Technology Co., Ltd” is able to produce and deliver precast elements for the local building market and benchmark a change in the traditional way of building.
