Precast technology offers virtually endless design possibilities for the production of architectural concrete but in many parts of the world it is still not yet utilized to its full potential. The ongoing development and improvement of precast production techniques and new innovative methods for the manufacture of aesthetically pleasing concrete surfaces might change this in the years to come. This paper reports on methods and techniques for the production of architectural concrete and discussed latest trends for the production of precast concrete façades worldwide.
