A new internal cleaning plant for passenger trains was built from the beginning of 2010 near the main railway station in Frankfurt in the so-called ‘Mainz basin’. Water and cleaning agents thereby flow directly out of the carriages into track support trays of the type EW 7500 which are impermeable to liquids. The 2 x 360 m long plant consists of 7.5 m long and 3.8 m wide individual elements, which are manufactured as liquid-tight components at Stelcon in Germersheim using Dyckerhoff Comfort Dreifach CEM II/A-S 52.5 N.
