As a consequence of the constantly increasing pressure on price, quality and flexibility, EWI in Belgium signed a contract in February 2005 to invest in a replacement for the existing circulation plant for the manufacture of solid wall/façade elements which was more than 10 years old. The plant was to be converted in summer 2005 in just four weeks.
