Located directly beside the airport of Baden Württemberg’s regional capital, is the Neue Messe Stuttgart, with a total investment of over 800 million euros. 300,000 m3 of concrete and 65,000 t of steel were used and about 1.8 Mio. m3 of soil was excavated during the construction which took just 31 months on Germany’s biggest building site of 83 hectares. Soon the exhibitors and visitors will have a total of 7 halls of 10.000 m2 each, a high hall with 25.500 m2, a small hall and a congress centre at their disposal. The most outstanding structure to be seen is the car park consisting of two „fingers“ , which spans over the A8 Autobahn and the future ICE railway track.
