The Spanish Group Frumecar, very advanced in innovation and research in the concrete sector, had felt a limitation for several years due to the impossibility of installing mixers with a concrete output of 3 m3 in their mobile plants. The larger dimensions of this size of mixer would have exceeded the maximum allowed road dimensions. The main constraint was the discharge chute, which could not be reduced in height due to the top opening being the same length as the discharge door, and the slope of the chute walls being steep enough to avoid any concrete buildup. By using the reduced discharge door it is now possible to shorten the discharge chute and thus to contain the overall dimensions of the supporting frame within the maximum required dimensions.
