In 2011 the Housing Development Board in Singapore (Singapore HDB) called for tenders for a model plant for the automatic production of precast concrete elements, since construction with precast concrete elements produced using modern methods is to be strongly promoted in the city state in future. Avermann Maschinenfabrik from Osnabrück, Germany was awarded the contract in late 2011. Following the sign- ing of the contract the model plant was already put into operation in autumn 2012.
