The sixth article in the series "Increasing Productivity and Quality Management" addresses the question of the benefits older precast facilities can have from upgrading their equipment. This report shows that modernizing a factory delivers more than just increased security in that productivity and flexibility of the facility are improved. New functionalities are opened up and the potential of modern IT and com- munications can be realized.
