Concrete has a long tradition as cladding material for façades of industrial buildings. The units are characterised by flat shapes with smooth as cast or exposed aggregate finishing. The product’s name is “decorative concrete”. However, since the second half of the previous cen- tury, concrete has also been used for façade cladding ofmore luxurious applications, known as “Architectural concrete”. The term refers to special concrete elements, contributing in a substantial way to the architecture of a construction through their shape, surface finishing, high quality, strength and durability.
