In the last few decades, prefab concrete has undergone a significant change in Russia. Three main trends can be observed in this process: firstly, the general trend towards industrialisation in the construction industry which has come about through the emergence of new solutions in prefabricated construction; secondly, the further development of know-how in the production of building materials and prefab elements. This has brought about the creation of high-quality, ready-made building materials and the enlargement of the span width in building construction. In third place, it is worth mentioning the increasing pressure from our society for buildings which are architecturally meaningful on the one hand and, on the other, exhibit improved functionality as buildings.
