SCC is awe-inspiring concrete that develops from a theoretic shadow existence to a most popular construction material. Long ago the engineers have accepted the new material and it is becoming famous in precast plants. The first step in using new materials is using them for the same products made of concrete. The use of the new material is reduced to a minimum of its potential. Only the obvious advantages of the new material are responsible for the change from the old to the new concrete. These arguments are known by everyone who is involved in concrete technology. The silent production, the good fair-faced surface, sharp corners or the cared handling of the mould are often declaimed to justify the higher costs of the material and the production. But new materials are often featured with more positive attributes. To find them, analyse them and develop these features to a practicable state is the next step in using new materials.
