The 28th international trade fair for building, building materials, mining machines, construction vehicles and equipment took place from 23rd to 29th April 2007 at the New Munich Exhibition Centre, and topped the 2004 event with regard to both its size and the number of exhibitors and visitors. The Bauma 2007 was the world’s largest trade fair ever, with an exhibition area of 540,000 sq. metres, which corresponds to 76 football pitches. Over 500,000 visitors came to the trade fair. Over 3,000 exhibitors brought machinery and plants to Munich weighing over 200,000 tonnes in total.
