Beton Son B.V., one of the largest producers of structural precast concrete in the Netherlands, has developed an energy pile as the basis of its “Wel Wonen”© (Comfort Living) building system. The energy pile can be combined with Wing Climate Floor® (cf. CPI 03/2001); with prestressed hollowcore floor slabs or with Filigran plate floors, to create warm floors in winter and cool floors in summer. Applications include housing, small office buildings and schools.
