The construction industry is placing more and more pressure on precast manufacturers to produce concrete members at a faster rate that have increased mechanical and durability characteristics. The precast industry has responded to this demand by producing large quantities of concrete members in very short spaces of time. These members however do not always possess the required strength or durability properties because there exists a trade off between production rate and quality of precast concrete members.
