A second radiation oncology bunker for a linear accelerator for combating tumours is under construction at the Wetzlar Clinic. Walls almost two metres thick made of a special heavy concrete prevent radiation from escaping to the outside. Around 500 m3 of ready-mix concrete were used to construct the 51 m² bunker. In addition a special radiation-proof concrete was used, manufactured with the heavyweight aggregate barite (grain size 0 - 16 mm).
