Improving the productivity and regularity of concretemanufacturing by means of measuring mixing ev

A breakthrough development performed in partnership between Couvrot and the Laboratoire Central des Ponts et Chaussées

The principle behind Mixometer® is to associate a set of simple measurements conducted at the mixing plant with a mixing model in order to generate precise information on the state of mixing progress. This information will assist the operator in improving plant productivity and regularity. The measurement readings are derived from sensors placed in the plant and at least one measurement recorded directly on the mixer itself. The Mixometer device has been designed as an observational instrument that, thanks to a process modeling routine, is able to translate multiple signals into simple output information on the state of mixing evolution. The progress offered by this technology proves especially critical for technically-advanced concretes but is also of great utility in the production of ordinary concretes.
