This paper is intended to present a comparative cost calculation analysis between traditional concrete (TC) and self-compacting concrete (SCC) with special regard to the conditions prevailing in Poland. In doing so, the paper also shows an example on the use of self-compacting concrete in a construction of wall structures. The chosen example demonstrates as to what extent SCC properties are responsible for price increases when using this material and to what extent it can reduce expenditure associated with the process of consolidation.
