The Concrete Design Competition 2008/2009 took place under the guiding motto ‘Implicit Performance’. Hybrids were to be taken as the subject with the object of designing new application possibilities and properties of concrete. The way of thinking about the possibilities of this building material was to be fundamentally changed in order to move away from the general conception of concrete as a purely structural element.
